Juvelook vs REJURAN Before an Autumn Seoul Trip: Product Differences, Papules and Planning

The friendly answer: this is not a stronger-versus-weaker ranking

Juvelook and REJURAN are often placed beside each other on a Korean ‘skin booster’ menu, but that menu label does not make them interchangeable. Official Juvelook information identifies a combination of poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) and hyaluronic acid (HA). PharmaResearch identifies REJURAN’s material as polynucleotide, or PN. Different materials, presentations and intended uses mean the consultation should begin with the concern and the exact product—not with a winner chosen from social media.

There are also product-family details hiding behind the brand names. Juvelook’s official Korean product page lists Juvelook, Juvelook Skin and Juvelook Volume with different amounts and characteristics. REJURAN also comes in named variants. Ask to see the sealed product and record the exact variant, amount and lot number. ‘Juvelook’ or ‘REJURAN’ by itself is not a complete treatment plan.

Most importantly, we did not find a credible direct head-to-head clinical trial that proves one is better than the other for every face. A good doctor can explain why one product, a staged plan or no injection is more appropriate after examining your skin, history and travel calendar.

What the official product information actually says

The official Juvelook page describes the standard 50 mg product as 42.5 mg PDLLA plus 7.5 mg HA and lists an intended purpose of temporarily improving adult facial wrinkles through physical restoration beneath the skin. That wording does not establish a universal pore, scar, glow or lifting result, and it should not be carried across every Juvelook-family variant without checking the label.

PharmaResearch’s official REJURAN page lists PN as the composition and presents the product as two 2 cc syringes per pack, with an intended purpose of temporarily improving facial wrinkles. It is not a conventional volumizing HA filler simply because it is injected. The treating doctor still needs to decide the product, area, technique and whether an injectable is appropriate at all.

A friendly way to compare the two is to ask three separate questions: what is the active material, what concern is being assessed, and what evidence applies to this exact product and area? A brand brochure can identify a device or product, but it cannot predict your result or replace consent.

The evidence is promising in places—but it does not crown a winner

For PN injectables, a 2024 systematic review found nine studies involving 219 patients. The studies were rated low or moderate in quality, used different techniques and treatment areas, and did not provide a firm consensus on the best use. The authors described promising findings while calling for larger, high-quality research. That is useful context, not proof that every REJURAN plan works the same way.

For PDLLA-based injectables, reviews describe collagen-related applications and emerging aesthetic evidence, but much of the literature is preliminary, product- and area-specific, or not a direct comparison with PN. A 2026 Juvelook study focused on tear troughs, for example; it should not be stretched into a whole-face guarantee or a verdict against REJURAN.

We also found a published case report of delayed, firm non-inflammatory nodules after PDLLA-HA injections in the tear trough. One case cannot tell us how often this happens, but it is a reminder that ‘little downtime’ does not mean ‘no risk.’ Product selection, preparation, placement, clinician experience, aftercare and access to follow-up all matter.

Why Juvelook 8 cc and REJURAN 4 cc are not a volume contest

Le Moir’s current menu lists one Juvelook vial mixed to a final 8 cc for full-face treatment, while the REJURAN Healer full-face reference is 4 cc. Those numbers look easy to compare, but they describe different presentations. Juvelook begins as a product that is prepared or reconstituted; the final mixed volume is not the amount of PDLLA or HA in the vial. REJURAN is supplied in prefilled syringes. Eight is not automatically ‘twice as much treatment’ as four.

Before comparing quotes, ask the clinic to write down the exact brand and variant, active amount, number of vials or syringes, final prepared volume, treatment area, delivery method, tax, consultation and follow-up. A vague ‘one session’ price can hide more differences than it reveals.

Le Moir’s official treatment menu says Juvelook may be delivered by direct injection or with Potenza, depending on the plan. A device-assisted and a hand-injection plan should not be treated as the same package simply because the same product name appears on both.

Papules, swelling and delayed nodules: recovery is product-specific

Needle marks, redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising and small raised papules can be visible after skin-booster injections. Their extent and duration vary with the product, amount, area, technique and individual response. A blog cannot promise that papules will be gone before dinner or before your flight.

Infection and inflammatory reactions are possible with any injection. PDLLA products also require a conversation about delayed nodules or granulomatous reactions, even though a single case report cannot supply a reliable frequency. Contact the treating clinic about persistent, worsening or unusual symptoms; severe pain, rapidly changing skin color, vision symptoms, breathing difficulty or other urgent symptoms need immediate medical assessment.

Ask whether the plan uses a syringe, injector or another device, who performs the procedure and how follow-up works after you leave Korea.

Autumn Seoul planning: leave room for the skin you actually arrive with

Early autumn in Seoul can arrive while your skin is still carrying late-summer sun exposure, heat irritation or a disrupted routine. Tell the doctor about sunburn, a new tan, active rash, cold sores, infection, recent peels, lasers, injections and any medicines or supplements. A pre-booked product should never outrank the condition of your skin on consultation day.

If you have photographs, an interview, wedding or long-haul flight soon after treatment, share the exact dates. There is no universal evidence-based rule that everyone must choose Juvelook or REJURAN a fixed number of days before flying. A more useful plan leaves time for expected visible recovery, an in-person review if needed and a clear route for help after you return home.

A friend’s consultation checklist

You do not need to memorize polymer chemistry. You only need enough clarity to know what is being used, why it fits the assessed concern and what happens if recovery does not follow the typical path. A polite clinic should be comfortable answering the questions below.

If the answers stay vague, pause. A sealed product, a named clinician, a written record and realistic follow-up are more useful than a dramatic before-and-after promise.

• What is the exact product and variant—Juvelook, Juvelook Skin, Juvelook Volume or which REJURAN version?
• Can I see the sealed box or vial and keep the product name, amount, lot number and treatment record?
• Is the quote per vial, prefilled syringe, active amount or final mixed volume?
• Which concern and area are being treated, and what evidence applies to that exact plan?
• Will it be delivered by direct injection, X-Injector, Potenza or another method—and who performs it?
• What visible recovery is common, and what is the longer reasonable range for this area and amount?
• Which symptoms need a routine message, an urgent review or emergency care?
• Will I still be in Seoul for review, and how does follow-up work once I am abroad?
• Would staging the plan, choosing another option or doing nothing be more sensible today?
